Idaho is REAL ID compliant with the federal gold star marker on the front of compliant cards. The state has not yet launched a mobile driver's license, though Idaho Transportation Department began technical evaluations in 2024. The non-REAL ID alternative credential remains available for residents who decline the federal verification process, marked with a 'Not For Federal Identification' notice on the front.
